This past year was a disaster for me, drama and a whole lot of heart ache, but this woman right here was there for me through everything. I never thought someone could help pick up my broken pieces from over 300 miles away, but my best friend, Katherine did just that. She reassured me over and over that I was worth something. She always listens when I need someone to talk to, even if I’ve talked to about the same problem a million times before.
Katherine and I have been friends for 15+ years. When Katherine lived in Henderson, Nevada, we were inseparable. We literally did every little thing together, until she moved away when we were 14 years old. When she left, I didn’t feel whole anymore. A piece of me was gone. She is my person, ya know?
Katherine is one of the strongest women I know. Now, this woman has been through some craziness, but that hasn’t stopped her. She’s a single mom of my godson/nephew, Noah. She works two jobs just so she can support herself and her son, and still makes time for me in her crazy mom life. We don’t get to talk as often as we’d like, but crazy mom lives are like this sometimes. There’s one thing that Katherine always does to let me know that she is still alive and loves me, she tags me in every best friend thing on Facebook… Like everyday. At minimum 5 times a day.
Thank you, Katherine for never leaving my side. Thank you for always picking my broken pieces up. Thank you for always reminding me of my worth when I’m in a dark place. Thank you for always being my strength when I’m weak. Thank you for just being my person. ❤
I Love you.
