Mom of the month. (September)

A Mom Who Inspires Me.

McKenzie Browe

This woman right here is one of the strongest women that I have ever known and I am lucky to call her my friend.

1. What is the most challenging thing about being a mom?
The most challenging thing about being a mom for me is learning to trust myself. Being a mom is the hardest job in the world and you have to make decisions for your kids everyday. It’s hard to know if your ever doing the right thing.

2. What is something you want your kids to learn when they get older?
I would like my kids to learn to be well rounded. I would like them to be involved in lots of things from sport to musical instruments. I hope they learn to be a good friend and have compassion for those around them

3. How would you describe your kids personalities? Would you say they’re like you?
My kid’s personalities are very different from each other but they both have pieces of their personality that are like mine. Elijah is observant, sensitive, methodical, silly, and loving. Kyla is determined, strong willed, fearless and sweet.

4. What is one thing you make sure your kids know and understand?
I always make sure my kids know that I love them with everything I am and that that’s never going to change.

5. Who is your go-to person when you advice/help?
My go-to people for advise are my mom, my aunts and my friend Lexi.

6. Who do you look up to as a mom?
My mom, aunts and a few friends.

7. What have you learned since becoming a mom?
Since becoming a mom I have learned to trust myself more. I’ve learned that when it comes to my kids I would give anything for them. I’ve learned patience more than anything.

8. What is one of the things you love most about being a mom?
One of the things I love most about being a mom is, hearing Elijah tell me he loves me. Hearing the giggles of my kids being silly with each other.

I Have known McKenzie for over 10 years. I got to be there through a lot. She is one of the strongest women that I know. We have always been the kind of friends that could go a while without contact and still remain friends. I went to McKenzie for advice before either of us were mommas and I still continue to go to her now being a momma. McKenzie has always had such compassion for others so I knew she would be an amazing mom. After meeting her babies, that just confirmed what I already knew. She has more patience than any mom I know and  definitely has a bigger heart than most people I know. Why I think McKenzie is super-mom: She married a Marine so when he has to leave and be gone a while, McKenzie has no choice but to be both mom and dad. I could imagine that could get pretty hard, not just being mom and dad but not having your husband there with you.
McKenzie, you inspire me.You inspire me to stay strong. you inspire me to always have compassion, not just for my children but for everyone.
